Check Closing Period Date

Dear All .

Is It SAP have standard function to check the closing period date ?

example my period is Jan n Feb .

so when user insert posting date for posting , i have to check the date is in Jan or Feb .

or we need to select the date from table MARV ???

is it better we use standard function to check the closing period date ??

It determines the fiscal year variant of the company code.

You can get those values from T001 table (T001-PERIV).

You may direct read table MARV or use FM 'MARV_SINGLE_READ'
