Transaction brackets of the workflow has been damaged

Dear Expert,

We are using HCM process with some of the standard task. However couple days ago, we encouter some of the workflows falls into error. After some initial investigation we found that it is due to "Transaction brackets of the workflow has been damaged" It happen to a standard task which is TS17900101 and i put in CL_HRASR00_POBJ_WF_EXIT for the program exit

Here are some logs

1)

Error handling for work item 000001440701

Message no. SWF_RUN630

2)

Transaction brackets of the workflow has been damaged

Message no. SWF_RUN515

Diagnosis

When executing the workflow with the ID 000001440701, the transaction brackets were destroyed by a commit command ('C') or a rollback work command ('R'). This command ('C') was stopped from the implementation program of the object type. Access takes place, for example, when a condition is evaluated or when the container operation is executed. Access may only have a read character which is why a commit or rollback work command is not necessary.

3)

Exit CL_HRASR00_POBJ_WF_EXIT triggered exeception for event STATE_CHG and (target) status STARTED

Message no. SWF_RUN646

4)

Error updating the process object

Message no. HRASR00_POBJ022

5)

Work item 000001440701: Object CL_HRASR00_WF_COMPONENTS method WI_EXECUTION_VIA_R3_INBOX cannot b

Message no. WL821

Diagnosis

The calling of the object method for the work item ended with a return value for which no handling is modeled in the workflow.

System Response

The work item was forced into the error status.

Procedure

Refer to your workflow system administrator.

Procedure for System Administration

Also check the binding between the task container and the method container.

Anyone have any idea about this?

Thanks.

Regards,

Bryan

      Hi,

I was doing something similar with this event and experienced the 'brackets damaged' error. I had placed a function module in the exit to send an email triggerred by event STATE_CHG and concluded the exit code with a COMMIT WORK. When I removed the COMMIT WORK the error disappeared. This is what the error message was hinting anyway. So see if you have a COMMIT WORK embedded in your own code and remove it if possible.

    Hi,

I faced the similar issue recently when we had a migration of our development box. All was working well in old box, soon after the migration all HCM P&F related workflows were failing at Import Form Container -> WF Container task (i.e. TS17900110).

We could figured out the issue that 'WF-BATCH' user lost access to 'SAP_ALL'. Adding this profile to batch user 'WF-BATCH' the issue got resolved.

    Thanks,
