displaying of equipment in order header

hi experts,

Is there any settings available by which equipment can be displayed in order header when functional location is entered in order header or under which condion the equipment can be displayed when functional location is entered.

if you entered the equipment ,your funtional location will be captured automatically no need to enter the same ,where as if you enter the FL ,the equipment will not be captured

The FLOC to Equipment ratio is 1:N. Means you can have 'n' no. of equipments in a FLOC but you cannot have one Equipment in multiple FLOCs. This is why you cannot get Equipment populated automatically when you enter FLOC.

Therefore your requirement is not logical. Would advice not to waste time in changing the standard functionalities of SAP.

Rajib,

There is no setting that can give you the functionality that you are requesting (In standard). As a work around, use the drop down on the equipment field and choose the "equipment by functional location structure" search help and enter the FL.The output list will display the Structure underneath the FL.Choose the appropriate equipment from the list and then hit enter.This will populate the FL aswell along with the equipment.
