Asset Explorer- AW01N

Hi,

I have created one asset in 2009. Its useful life is 10 years. After acquisition posting when i look into the asset explorer(AW01N) , it shows the planned depreciation only upto 5 years means 2014. It does not show year ahead to 2014.

Kindly help me in this regard.

Hi,

In AW01N, in tab comparisons, choose FY range from 2009 to 2019, then it will show till 2019.

Is your fiscal year variant (FYV) defined for the "missing" years? AW01N will only show future values up to the year that the FYV is defined. It cannot go beyond that even if the asset has a useful life past that date.

Adding to what Lidia said, also check your period control. If your FYV is not maintained for future years, your period control would have also not maintained. If you define FYV for all those missing years you also need to generate period control rules by running OA84 tcode so that your depr calculation would be consistent after 2014.

Please check in AW01N for which depreciation area are you looking for. (on the left of screen)

Many dep Area can be assigned to asset

Hi,

What i want is for book depreciation the planned depreciation value is displayed only till 2014 though it shdould be till 2019. It is not shwing value after 2014 . I want to know what could be reason for that.

plese set up the viewed year value in aw01n (asset value screen) in tab "comparsion" (fiscal year from - to)
