Hi Waseem,

OM Actions are nothing but, Execution of OM Infotypes (1***) in sequence.

For Example : to create a New Orgunit use the transaction code "PQ10" where in which you get sequence of infotypes to complete that Action.

Similary you can use "PQ13" to create a Position.

To maintain the sequence of Infotype, Status of Infotype, Mandatory Infotype you can do the necessary changes in the following link

"SAP IMG>Personnel Management>Organisational Management>Basic Settings>Maintain Personnel Actions"

After going into that link Select the Object on the Tab - Actions (Overview) and to maintain the Infotype wise settings double click on the Tab - Actions(Individual Maintainance)

Hope this helps you, pls let me know if you have any queries..

Hi Waseem,

Check documentation in SAP IMG>Personnel Management>Organisational Management>Basic Settings>Maintain Personnel Actions. You may get an Idea.

HI Waseem

The OM Action is like PA Action where in while creating an OM Object you called other object one afte the other like while you are creating position you also wish to maintain Relationship infutype and other infotype ..

in ocnfig you follow the path sproPMOM--Basic setting -- personnel action..

there are standard function provided by SAP you can have a look to them and can modify your action, if you wish to make an infotype to be maintained as mandatory you can define in table T777M...

Personnel action can be called via using TC - PP03.

Trust this will help you

Enjoy

Hi Waseem,

You can create different objects like Org unit, position, cost center, job and their relationship.

To create all these obhects you can follow above Tcodes.

Then you can assign position, cost center, job and org unit in IT0001 for employee. If you have maintained relationship between org unit positioin (A003), Position & Job (A007) and position cost center (A011), then the moment you hire employee and assign position, org unit, cost center and job will be inherited. No need to maintain manually.

Moreover you can create organization structure i.e reporting structure in OM and integrate with PA via IT0001.
