Report Design question

Hi,

I have report design requirement page wise as below:

Page 1

Prod Id

Prod Cat

Prod Loc

Prod Unit

Page 2

Prod Id

Prod Cat

Prod Cat Prod Gr

ABC Grp1

DEF Grp2

Page 3

Prod Id

Prod Cat

Prod Criteria

Prod Cat

Prod Id

Prod Date

I've tried using various options like multiple details sections, multiple Page Header sections, multiple Group Header sections but couldn't get the data displayed right.

Any suggestions will be of great help

HI,

We can do this with subreports in diffrend sections,

Follow these steps.

1, Open the main report.

2,Divide the 'Detail' section as three parts(Details a and Details b ,Details c) Using 'Insert Section Below' option.

3, Insert Subreports into each Sections. And Filled those subreports with Appropriate datas(According to Page1,Page2 and Page3 ) . Format the subreport as ur wish. Make sure to set the borders of subreport as 'None'. And enable the 'can grow' option.Increase the width of the subreport up to maximum.

4, Right click on the 'details b' section in design view->Goto 'Selection Expert'->Click on 'Paging' tab->Check the 'New Page Before' check box.->OK

5, Repeat the step 4 in Details C also

6, Save the report.

Hi Naresh,

For that you have to create a group with Prod id.

After creating the group Suppress the group header and group footer sections, if you dont want to display anything.
