Hello Vikram,

I guess In FI also one buisness area is only assigned for particular period to only one cost center. What do you think?

Still I am thinking there might be possiblity buisness area he mean, doesnt be a buisness area at all, it might be treated something else by which it could be solved somehow. it is a mistery....

Hi Manoj Shakya

One emp can work for one business area not for two business area. If the same employee is transfer to other area at that the business area will get change and the cost center also.

One employee cannot work for two business area. If that is the how FI person will main the expenses two times per month and no client will maintain like that.

I think it is mistery happen or confusion Our frd has to communicate once again and clear his doubt and work it out

Hi Manoj,

Here in HR Master data IT0001- Business Area is entered, which belongs to Personal Loan ( Vertical). If that person works for some other vertical say Home Loan then Posting need to be done to different Business Area.

As far as I know we can distribute the cost based on IT0027 and through Position - Costdistribution.

But I am not aware whether salary can break down into two business area while posting.

Hello Nalin,

I am not sure, however you said cost center should be same, which mean same cost center you will going to assign in IT 27 same as IT 1, however two buisness area for one cost center is might be not possible both from HR and FI, At first place we couldnt send this information through HR which mean not in Payroll as well.

Lets wait for some one who might have encountered this situation and probably done some solution.

Hello Vikram,

A person could work for two buisness area from buisness point of view and on need basis, however to map in SAP is a challenge, I guess all I know is SAP is made standard so that it should cater most standard buisness processes, however there are some special process which we need to see in different way to map in SAP.

Lets wait for few more answers from group members.

Hi Nalin Jain

If an employee is taking loan from any where his business area will be one and the respective cost center. You cannot generate payroll with two business area which is defined by FICO.

Loan can be posted with Vendor wise or Employee Number wise in the balance sheet.

Can you confirm with FICO Person how they want to post.

Wait for the solution from the our experts

Hello

Where are you saving two buisness area in one cost center?

I mean to ask where in cost center or HR master data or where you are planning to store two buisness area in one cost center?

Hi Manoj,

In our scenario employee is from the same department say Sales but works for two product say Personal Loan & Home Loan.

Personal Loan & Home Loan is created as Business Area here. So we wanted to distribute salary to two business area. where as cost center will be same.

I am not aware where to maintain two business area for salary distribution.

Hello Nalin,

Thats why I asked how you going to save it, however first this things need to clear.

Are you already divided on basis of FI for buisness area or position or personnel area?

Few things still aren't getting clear.
