We ant to setup our cloud connector with a generic company user ID and not with an existing OSS user. So how can a generic user be created Cloud Connector user can be created ON HCP.

Hi Andreas

In order to connect your Cloud Connector to an SAP Cloud Platform subaccount, you need to provide the user name and password of a member of that subaccount, which has the Cloud Connector Admin role.

Two points:

1) Whether that's an S-user or not, depends on the Identity Provider in use. Only the default, the SAP ID Service, uses S-users, P-users etc.

2) The provided user is only required to establish the encrypted tunnel between Cloud Connector and SAP Cloud Platform. Even if the user is removed from the subaccount at some point in the future, the tunnel will stay open.

Regards,

Morten
