difference between mb21+migo and mb1a

pls differentiate what are the points of difference between process mb21+migo and mb1a

MB1A is the old transaction code and it was used in earlier versions of SAP.

Now if u r in ECC, there is no advantage of using MB1A and SAP is suggesting to use MIGO in place of MB1A, because in MIGO you can do all kind of goods movements.

Eventhough u can stop using MB1B and MB1C also after MIGO.

Hi,

MB21 is used to create the reservation.

MIGO for the goods movement posting with reference to Reservation or PO...etc. and it can be used for GR,GI and transfer porting

MB1A used for only for Goods issue.

The results of MB1A and MIGO will be same.The benefit of MIGO is to check your input for errors where are MB1A doesnt.

when mb21+migo in continuity leads to goods issue then why is mb1a used when it doesn't lets us to check inputs errors.

what are those instances when one can be used and other cannot be used

MB1A is the Old transactions for the older versions like 4.6 .

If you are in ECC then you can use MIGO for everything.

Dear,

MB21 for create reservation and MIGO for goods movement postings.

By MB21 you can reserve material (exists in stocks) and using MIGO you can issue these materials reference to the reservation you created.

MB1A used for Goods issue. The results of MB1A and MIGO are same, only MIGO gives you to check your input for errors where are MB1A doesnt. MIGO-GI is a new design for which you cant create batch input sessions. Both transactions issues leads to stock reduction.
