stock cannot be cleared

Hi,,

We wants to clear out the stock in SAP because they are the old stock and actually there are no stocks for the materials in physical warehouse. It is just in the system showing those materials have stocks; 62 pcs.

So we wants to clear those 62 pcs in SAP but I am unable to clear them out. These materials are batch managed and have open PO documents which dated on 2003. Means they are already old and according to user no need anymore. Is it the reason why I am unable to clear the stock? Do i have to deactivate the batch management for those materials,then delete the Pos and then only I am able to clear the stock? Please advise what is the best way.

Hi,

First delete the all open PO line item for that material and then clear the stock by using movement type 562.

You can clear the stock by carrying out Physical inventory using T code MI01.
