Effect of Master Data Change on Open PO's

Hi All,

The scenario is below. In the material master, the procurement type is F with special procurement 30. Now we are going to change that as E without any special procurement. So if I run MRP, Planned Orders will be created for unfirmed PR,s and for new requirements. But what happens to the firmed PR's and Open Subcontracting PO's ?
Will I be able to continue the old process for the existing firmed PR's and open PO's ??

Hello

MRP will not change firmed purchase requisitions and purchase orders, even if you change your master data.

You need to manually close those orders, so that MRP can generate new planned order to cover the requirements.

Hello,

If I am deleting all the firmed PRs, MRP will create new Planned Orders due to the master data change. Is there any way to deal with the Open POs rather than closing them ?
Please suggest.

Hello

You may keep the purchase orders open and continue processing them normally.
