Hi,

As per your query you have not mentioned your SAP version so that we can not provide exect solution. Please mentioned the version which is running. If you are using Unix then login through telnet and use below command after login with sidadm.

pf -fu ora<sid>

if more services are running then your oracle is running.

pf - fur <sid>adm

if more services are running then your sap is running.

pls check you network also.

Hi Kevin,

Did you check the wp status?

Check the same at OS level or do R3trans -dx, send us the logs.

If work processes are not up, then analyze the same with trans.log and correct.

May be due to kernel parameters work processes died. check & correct them.

Hai,

Please try to check whether SAP is up or not, for this login into OS level and connect as sidadm user and then goto /usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile and then execute the following command.

dpmon pf=<Instance profile>

This will show you the work process table as same as SM50, if the Instance is down you will get the list and dpmon will end with errors. If you get the list then look into the work process table if all the work processes are free or not i.e they should be in waiting status.

To check whether you can connect to database or not - execute R3trans -d from OS level as sidadm user this will create a log in the same directory form where you execute this command, post the logs for analysis if it ends with any return code.

If your SAP system is not running then post the work process logs (dev_disp,dev_w*)from /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS<Inst_no>/work.
