Transaction CC01 what selection option to choose

Hi All ,

In transaction CC01 , whats the the diference if i select ECR or change master option in very friest screen.

and how it will influence the other selection options provided below in screen , ie with or without relesase key , lead change master, change package.

I am new to ECM , so can some buddy pit light on it.

Dear SAP,

1.By selecting the radio button for Change Master in CC01, a change number is created and after saving the same can be used

for making material or BOM changes based on the business object types selected for the change number.

2.By selecting the radio button for ECR the system asks a change type and further a change number is created and here the

intial status will be created and further it processed by converting into ECO.

3.Generally for making immediate changes ,change number's without release key is preferred and if there required some control

for the made BOM changes,then change number with release key is used.

4.In this case after making the BOM changes,only after setting the release key in CC02 for the change number,the made

changes becomes valid,otherwise it does not considers the made changes.

Check and revert back.
