Order unit *** cannot be converted into base unit EA for some material...

Hello Experts,

When we create a PO using BAPI_PO_CREATE1, we tried to put in a non exiting order unit

say 'XX'. But here is the weird thing, some PO is still being created but some are not.

I found out that for some materials, even though I put in a wrong order unit the BAPI still

creates the PO but for some, there is an error saying "Order unit ****** cannot be converted into base unit EA". I cannot see the link on why for some the PO still creates which is what we want but for some it gives an error and halts the creation of the PO.

I guess in the Material master for some Material types the Unit of conversion is maintained and for some its not maintained... pick up all the material that fails and which cleared and find out the relevance in those materials and check if ur MM team..

Please check Material Master For Conversion Unit Maintenance.

Or through Table MARM you can find out the difference between two materials.
