HI,
For example in a company there are 50 employees working for a particular product. To calculate the cost in the following way they take number of employees as SKF. These can be Fixed and Totals. In Fixed supposing for a particular order in a period if 50 employees are working then it would be 50 for that particluar period if it has to be increased then it would be that particular number in that particular period.
In case of total, If we take telephone calls the total telephone calls for a particular period. The fiscal year total is the total of all the periods.
Thanks,
Giridhar

Hi,
U can consider SKF as cost drivers or tracing factors through which u can allocate the cost.
Advantages of SKF is that u can arrive the total cost for given number of SKFs and Allocate the cost to the receiver cost objects on the basis of SKFs it got booked.
