Can SAP JCo 2.x co-exist with the integrated SAP JCo 6.45 in NW 7.0?

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know if SAP JCo 2.x can co-exist with the integrated SAP JCo 6.45 in NW 7.0? If not, how do I deinstall 6.45 and reconfigure to point to the newly installed 2.x? I would appreciate it if you could send me supporting documents regarding this concern. Thanks in advance for your feedbacks!

Regards,

Ronald

Hi Ronald,

There are 2 different versions of JCo that must not be mixed up.

On the one side there is the JCo standalone (which has version numbers 2.1.x or 3.0.x) and on the

other side there is the integrated JCo in the J2EE Engine (which has version numbers 6.40.x, 6.45.x, 7.00.x and so on).

The JCo standalone is only for usage outside of an J2EE Engine and it is forbidden to install or deploy JCo standalone on J2EE Engine. You can review SAP note 549268 for further information.

Best regards,

Désiré
