Getting "Invalid Argument provided" error

Former Member

I have copied a Sp and have added a column in the new version. I am now trying to update the report with the new Sp. I go through the set datasource location, point to the new Sp and click Update. When I close the datasource location window I get a small windows with the following error:

Invalid Argument provided

How can I find out what 'argument' this is pointing to and the reason for the error. I really don't want to have to rebuild the report as I have around 50 report Sp's to do this to.

thanks,

jerry

Once you do the set location then Verify the database. You may also try creating a new report and see if it gets the same error which then points to the SP SQL is incorrect.

So I gather that no one else has ever come across this error before? Based on the silence that what I'm to understand! Do any of the developers ever look at this forum?

Am I the only one that has gotten this error when trying to replace the stored procedure?

Come on a little help goes a long way. Or maybe the product is so dysfunctional that everyone else that is using it has to many problems they can't help. I don't no.
