Initialization of CO-PA delta (acc. based).Should we stop ERP transactions?

Hello!

We have to init COPA delta on running system. So the question is: should we stop all ERP transactions to fill summarization level and make init? Or extractor can make it online? And it get only new records after we get first delta package?

But init gets data from aggregation level. So all transactions made during safety interval will be in first delta package. Am I right?

Only for LO Cockpit it is recomended to down the erp system, but for copa you are fine.

You don't have to stop ERP transactions in order to initialize the COPA extractor delta. If you execute an Init w/o Data Transfer, the pointer for delta is set at that point. When doing you data extract, do a Full Repair extract InfoPackage. The only potential risk is that you may get some duplicate records in the first Delta InfoPackage. If the target InfoProvider for this DataSource has non-cumulative Key Figures, this isn't an issue.
