material master changes not updated in contract

Hi,

I created a contract with a material.

I have changed the material description in MM02.

The change of the description is not updated in the contract. Please advise.

Hi,

To bring the changes effective, delete the existing contract and make a new contract and then you will notice the changes in the new contract with the new description.

Then see in the release order, the change will be effective.

As you have created the change after the contract is raised, this change will not be effective to the present contract.

In change mode, delete the material from the contract and save. Then return to change mode, add the material back and save.

Material is master data and contract is transaciton data

any change you make in master data will not reflect to existing transaction data, once you create new transaciton data than only it will reflect the changes.

Release order created with that contract is also not having recent data. Having old description.

Because the change has been made after tha contract is created.

Release order is created after the change why it is not picking up.

Since the contact was created before the changes , these changes will not be reflected.
