We are getting the following error when attempting to create a BW Source datastore (FTP file transfer method) on a workstation:
the job server 'inet:152.72.77.170:3010' is not responding. The network connection may be down or the job server may not be running. RWSocketError: in RWSocket::connect: CONNREFUSED (BODI-1241018) (BODI-1111344)
Data Services 3.1 (12.1.1.2) client and server components have been installed on Windows Server 2003 SP2. The Data Services client components have been installed on local workstations. We were able to create a BW Source datastore on the server, but we get the error when attempting to create the same datastore on the workstation.
It seems the datastore is trying to access a job server on the local workstations. Is there a way to indicate the location of the job server?
Hi Paul,
Please make sure that when you define the JobServer on BOBJ DS Server Manager, you attached to the repository you are using. Go to Edit JobServer Config - Select the JobServer you are using and click Edit. You will see a window, which has on the left side the Repository you are associating the JobServer with. Make sure all the paremeters are ok. Click ok and go back to the first window on BOBJ DS Server manager and at the bottom "Restart" click on it, and try again.
I hope this helps
Thanks,
Julio

I'm glad it worked!
Any points would be appreciated

That was the issue! The local repository database had been reconfigured by the DBAs, so the job server association had to be reestablished.
