you can use transaction SARA with archiving object MM_EKKO, in the documentation (Goto -> documentation) you can find the
steps and prerequisites to archive PO, also FAQ notes 456129 can help you...

u cant archiev po..
but u can delette the line items of that po...
hence purchase order is deleted
