What is the settings through which we can assign material numbering to newly created material .

Hi

Check in MMNR. Create new interval and assign material type.

If already number range is maintained for material type under which you are creating materaial then no need to create new one.

Check whether internal or external number range has been maintained formaterial type in MMNR. If it is external then you have to input manually the number for material otherwise system assign the number to material automatically.

I have gone to MMNR . But I do not understand how to enter new material number . Please guide me as to which tab and where in the menu path to navigate thru.

go to MMNR

click on groups...

u can assign ur material in existing group or u can create a new group

and maintain no ranges to that group

Hi

In MMNR click over view to see the number range series has been maintained for the material type (it is not for material).

If there is no number range - create new number range interval for the group. Then assign the group with material type.
