Cannot access IP

We have recently refreshed our test system and when I try to access ip>Start wizard I get a log on window, then when I enter my user name and password it says that I am unauthorized. Normally, this log on window is not present, when you click on the Start Wizard button it goes straight into the IP Workbench. Please help,

many thanks,

David

Hi,

I have already involved basis guys, we have the situation that some of the basis guys can launch the start wizard in ip successfully on their pc's but when they try as themselves on my pc they have the same problem with the log on screen. If I try on their pc as me I still get the problem,

many thanks,

dave

Hi,

Check the Authorization object in SU53 after performing the same process for IP login.

This is strange...check for host entries in your system and also for authorization on IP.

Check for JCO auth...(BASIS will do that)

[Troubleshooting SAP Java Connector (JCo) |https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/TroubleshootingSAPJavaConnector%28JCo%29]

Also check these auth object:

S_RS_ALVL: Authorizations for working with aggregation levels

S_RS_PLSE: Authorizations for working with planning functions

S_RS_PLSQ: Authorizations for working with planning sequences

S_RS_PLST: Authorizations for working with planning function types

S_RS_PLENQ: Authorizations for maintaining or displaying lock settings

Hope it helps...

Hi Asish,

I am helping David Jones on the Bsis side with this...I have found the following:

All JCo RFC are configured and test ok using logon group PUBLIC_<TARGET_SID> . The Value in the system landscape is also set to PUBLIC_<TARGET_SID>. In SMLG the logon group PUBLIC_<TARGET_SID> is assigned to the local instance. However, when looking at the dev_jrfc.trc file the logon group geing called is PUBLIC_<SOURCE_SID>.

Any ideas as to where else this might be set via the Visual aministrator or Configtool????

Many thanks Maria

Hi Maria,

Sorry but I am not that good with these Basis connection settings so won't be able to guide you through the log , but what I really found strange is: few basis folks can access IP and others cannot...try to figure that out...

Hope it helps...

Have you tested your RFC with Portal...check J2EE RFC connection, involve you BASIS guys.
