Implementing SAP in Brazil

Hi All,

We are thinking of putting our Brazil subsiuary on our SAP ERP ECC 5 system which is base in Australia. I realise how complicated the Brazil processes are with the Nota Fiscal and electonic versions of this including cancellations, the numerous taxes and government reporting requirements so it is going to be very a very complicated project.

1. I am sure others have done this but was just wanting to know the best way to start. Is the Best Practices for Brazil upto date?

2. We are based in Australia and I was also wondering if anyone has configured it remotely without using a local partner ? Or would it be best to implement it whilst in Brazil with a local partner because it is so complicated ?

Any help with information, links on the issues involved with implementing Brazil and how others have achieved this would be most appreciated.

Hello Nick,

Yes i agree that Brazil process is very complicated.

But you can form a tem with some local resourcess. Coz you need to implement some special brazil related taxes and that Nota Fiscal process. So hiring a local resource is best option . We are now supporting such project. In our project also, at the time of implementation few local recourses were used.
