We are trying to setup Biller Direct in NWDI for UI development. However we are unsure of the exact process for setitng this up, even after reading much of the SAP documentation and other forums threads. Do BD SCA files need to be downloaded from service.sap.com? Or can you setup the track by importing these files from the SAP system?
In general, what are the basic steps to enable BD development with NWDI?
For example
1. Define track in NWDI
2. Import configuration files/software components from SAP dev system (or download SCA from marketplace??)
3. Install NWDS on developer workstation and link to the track
I am also having some issues with what I think are miscommunications between myself and our BASIS service providers. I have asked them to set up Biller Direct in NWDI for development, but I think when I mentioned that they might need to download SCA files to do this, they got the impression that we planned to modify source code. They pointed to note 858563 which says that modification to source code is against SAP policy and began expressing concerns about violations of service agreements.
I want to make it clear to them that we want to do normal, SAP-supported development of Biller Direct, using a standard process in NWDI. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain how development of BD (as described in this thread /message/7501820#7501820 [original link is broken]) does not violate sap standards for cource code modification.
