Hi all,
I have found a number of threads about this error ( or ). All seem to point the decompression issue at the client as the source of the problem. I don't have an easy access to the database at my client's site so I cannot really test the solution of the compression parameter.
I am using BPC 7.0MS with the latests patches in BPC, SQL and Windows. Does that decompression problem still persist in these versions? What else can it be due otherwise?
Regards,
Rafael
Hi all,
I can confirm that I am having the same error with BPC 7.0MS with the latest patches even after inserting the DO_COMPRESS 0 parameter in the dbo.tblDefaults table. I am trying to make an expansion on TIME dimension such as:
2002.TOTAL,BAS(2002.TOTAL),2003.TOTAL,BAS(2003.TOTAL)...
which works with only 2 elements like 2002.TOTAL,BAS(2002.TOTAL), so I rule out the source of the problem being wrong member names in rows or something like that.
Anybody has any suggestion?
Regards,
Rafa

Only to mention that:
- I cannot post client side log files because they are not being written at all (I have the EVDRE_LOG.TXT and EVDRE_TRAVE.TXT files created but they are not being written with any query).
- I cannot post server side log files because they are not being written with the query that gets the error (the EVDATASERVER_DEBUG.TXT and EVDATASERVER_TRACE.TXT are being filled up when I execute queries but they get nothing written with the query of the error).
So: may that mean anything? how do we have to activate the client side logging in 7.0MS?

Rafael
Ok Tony, thank you, I didn't know.
I can see that folder now, but I cannot see the EvDRE log file (as it used to be). Which one should I use for that? (by a "registry entry" you mean a windows registry? could you please tell me which one or redirect me to where I can look for that info?)
Regards,
Rafa
