Hi Marc,
I am experiencing slowdown problem in the SAP DM application during the workflow approval process. When I access a report and click on its chapters, each chapter takes a long time to display the general information screen where I do the approval (approve button). Do you have any tips?
Hi Marc.
Regarding workflow slowness, would the number of chapters be an influencing factor? On average each chapter takes 50 seconds to be approved. in a report of approximately 250 chapters becomes unfeasible. Is there anything I can evaluate to optimize this workflow?

Hi
The client log in itself says nothing - this is why you need to check the temp folder
All your log shows that there is a gap of 50 seconds between the checking out and Word launching. However, that can also mean that it took 50 seconds for the Word file to come from the server to the client
So - check when the file appears in the folder and then how long it takes to launch

Hello Robinson,
The way you describe the performance issue, may be related to network slowness
You can easily follow what DM does on a check-out for example
- when DM opens the chapter, it gets downloaded to the client machine
- by default, the file will go to %temp%\SAP AG\BO Disclosure Management\Output\aaaxxxaaxx For example, C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\3\SAP AG\BO Disclosure Management\Output\cef7956ba9aa
- then, Excel (or Word) is launched, and the file is opened
Please check attached screenshot
Here, I click on "edit" (in web) and then you can see the times (in DM client, and when file is created)
Can you check what the time difference is between clicking on edit, and the time the file is created on the client machine?

Marc,
See DM workstation log event.dm-log.jpg
ABOUT Workflow, slowness happens when the user clicks on start work ... Average 1 minute per chapter

Hi Marc,
was away for a few days.
The report has approximately 250 chapters. The slowness occurs in 2 scenarios: when the user clicks Edit to update the Excel document (some stations) and when the approval work of this report begins.
