Changing plant and storage location in IQ02

Hi,

We should make it possible to change plant and storage location of an equipment in transaction IQ02. The problem is that those fields are not modifiable. They are blue and we can't change them.

There is a message "stock control is active for the material", so deactivating it might help, but I don't know how to do that.

Hi Kim,

To my knowledge its not advisable to change Plant as such becaz it sshould be associated with a goods movement. I mean Now that serial no. is plant 1000 (per say). What about the stock status if you change it to 2000 (per say) in 1000 & 2000 plants. Though the system changes stock status in 1000 & 2000 plants, You are changing stock status w/o any goods movement in IM.

But It may allow you if you deactivate stock control as per the error message.

give space (No stock validation) against your serial no. profile.

The same problem exists in IE02.

you have change the data by using T- code IE02.

As this materail is stock materail, system will not allow you to change the plant in IQS2.

If you want you can change the plant for that Equipment in Transaction code IE02
