sample for inspection lot in WM

Friends,

After doing MIGO, while creating TO in LT06, one pop up comes to ask 'where sample for inspection lot is to be kept in Warehouse ?' and we have to choose a radio button out of (1. GR Area 2.QC Bin 3.place qty into stock 4 Skit TR)

My question is with which setting this pop up comes. If i don't want this pop up to come what settings need to be changed.

Hello,

Do you want material to be QM active ? Please remove all settings realted to QM from material master if you do not want QM to be active.

i want QM to be active but i don't want this pop up which suggests to keep sample qty at other place and remaining lot to high rack area

Hi

This can be achieved through activating QM interface.

Go to

SPRO-IMG-Logistics Execution-Warehouse Management-Interfaces-Define Quality Management

Define Inspection Sample Control

Create a new "QM Control" for your Warehouse & Storage type with Inspection sample handling Indicator in WM as "3 Putaway" which is same as your Radio button 3. place qty into stock

Then Go to

Activate QM Interim Storage Type Search

Give storage type (in which you want to putaway i.e. same as your storage type sequence in search strategy) for that "QM Control" against your warehouse, operation E, your storage type Indicator.

For some plants only this 'pop up' is coming while creation of TO and for some plants it is not.

so i want to know when this pop up comes and when it doesn't and what are the settings for the same.

is there any setting at plant level ?

Is QM Activated for all plants? I think Pop up is coming only for those plants in which QM view (Material master) is maintained.

which u2018Pop up for sample placement while creation of TOu2019 is to be

controlled.

u2022 u201CIndicator for QM WM Interfaceu201D acts as per the settings (e.g 3-

putaway, D-Background) and controls the pop up

Hi James,

This is due to inspection plan in Material master. You have to deactivate Inspection plan in MM02 - QM View. Go to Insp. Setup. Delete Insp. type
