PR deletion for MRP Exception 26

Dear Gurus,

I am running MRP every day and have an MTO scenario. All of my Raw Materials have indicator "Individual" in MRP4 view.

Now, with MRP run the PRs are generated for materials with shortages in stock. For example 5 EA of M1 raw material is required and the PR is created for it with quantity 5 account assigned to the sales order. At this point of time if the stock is available for M1 in unrestricted stock then it is moved to sales order stock. For example available stock is 3 EA, that is moved to sales order stock. In next MRP run the PR is given an exception of 26 saying excess individual material exists. This happens with planning mode normal in mrp run.

If I set planning mode as 3 for deleting and recreating the PRs in MRP run then I will get a PR of 2 for M1 in next MRP run which is perfect, but the PRs for all the other materials will be deleted and recreated. The PRs which will be deleted might be under process and hence will create difficulties, so I want to avoid that.

What is the process which should be followed for such a scenario:? Should the MRP be run with planning mode as 1 and the PRs with exception 26 be deleted manually or is there any automated process?

Should the MRP be run with planning mode as 3 and the PRs which are not touched recreated?

Hi,

To avoid this exception message, check the inventory of all the required materials and move them to sales order stock (Mvt 411E) before running the MRP...or use Collective requirement option in MRP4

I cannot use collective indicator due to logistic issues also the care would be taken to move the stock to sales order stock before mrp run but its not possible at all times. MRP run is daily and hence the person might take a day or two to transfer the available stock. I can not avoid Exception 26.

The only thing I want to do is to delete the PRs which are having exception 26 in mass. Is there any transaction for that to delete PRs in mass having a specific Exception?

Or should I go for some other route?

hey buddy

In MTO u can't assign the RM more than ur requirement as u r assigning the sales order stock manually, so when u r giving the sales order reference to ur stock assign only that much stock which is in the BOM of the sales order material, in tht case it will not give u message 26, otherwise u have to change ur stratergy.

Hi

Just uncheck "Also plan unchanged components" in the MD02 screen and run MRP. This not disturb the unchanged components in the planning file and only plans those materials that underwent change since last MRP run. Hope this will solve your problem
