Hello,
We are entrying "our own forecast values" in material master and set fix indicator, but when we re-run the forecast, system clears our previous forecast values.
Is there any way, we can enter our own forecast values and retain our previous forecast values.
Any suggestion, would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
JPS
When you manually enter for cast values in Material master for a particular period of say 6 months,
and when you run the forcast, make sure you exclude this period from the forecasting period., otherwise those values will be replaced by the system

Hi,
In the material master forecast view, you have History periods ( No of Periods to be considered as History)and Forecast period ( No of periods for which Forecast is to be calcualated) are maintained.
also Fixed period field. which will control for how many periods forecast should not be changed.

Ratan
Hello again,
I have entered 18 months as History periods and 6 as forecast period, which I use always fixed but executing forecast system, clears the all hostroy forecast....
Secondly, Is there anyway we can only enter the only enter our forecast and process the MRP with executing the forecast...
regards,
JPS
In regards to your previous question ,we can maintain the forecasting values ,so that the same is reflected in the stock requirement list as unplanned req UnplRq.
Post which ,Run MRP directly which will generated the planned order for the forecasted requirements as maintained in material master, forecasting view.
this works,..i had maintained the model as "D=Constant Model"
thanks,
rajn
