Integration of cloud workflow inbox items into My Inbox Fiori APP CA_FIORI_INBOX

Hi Team,

I would like to know the possibility here.

we have My Inbox Fiori app in SAP cloud platform workflow service where the tasks which are part SAP cloud platform workflow come.

Then we have My inbox Fiori application which is part of standard role SAP_BR_MANAGER.

My Inbox App

My question is, can I bring the tasks that are available in my cloud platform inbox into My Inbox Fiori application

or

is it possible to bring workitems from my inbox Fiori app and show them inside HCP My Inbox application ( opposite of what I mentioned above). I found beloe blog

Hi sankar,

Technically it is possible to connect the CP Workflow service to the Task Gateway which is used in your Business Suite or S/4HANA landscape, since both support the TCM OData format.
However we are still working on documenting the respective endpoints and configuration steps, so please stay tuned.

Thanks for the reply.

One question that I have is, in could workflow when we design user tasks we enter the UI5 application name in the details and this particular UI5 application, i guess should be deployed in the cloud platform. If I now integrate both the inboxes and want to see the tasks generated out of SCP workflow in S/4 HANA Inbox, Do i need to deploy the task UI components into S/4 HANA landscape?

Is there a place where I can see the updates about documentation on respective endpoints and configuration steps regularly?

Yes you are right, the UI need to be deployed on the same FLP where My Inbox is running.
Currently for CP Workflow we only support embedded UIs, so they won't show in the S/4HANA My Inbox.

Is the documentation ready for implementation My Inbox for HCP , to show all workflow related task in My Inbox.

There is no proper document available to perform this task.

Still in progress. We need to use a Web Dispatcher to route the requests to CP Workflow, and have to resolve some authorization issues.

Here is the basic setup:

• Install SAP Web Dispatcher on-premise

• Ensure access of Web dispatcher to the Fiori Launchpad of the on-premise system
• Configure Web dispatcher to redirect specific calls so that resources deployed on SAP Cloud Platform can be accessed (e.g. custom task UIs)

Configure SAML2 Authentication between the on-premise system and the SAP Cloud Platform

• Add the SAP Cloud Platform as a Trusted Provider for the on-premise system
• Ensure exchange of metadata between both systems
