Do you know how to delete phases and tasks that were already released in cProject? The phase status is Released-Replicated Incorrectly. This phase and task was created by copying a precedent phase and got the same phase number, causing the replication error. Please help me out either how to delete this phase or how to solve this replication error.
I checked MBDoc message that 'WBS element 190000000000000325862009 already exists' with MBDoc error code 'CJ20'.
Thank you for your help in advance..
Dear Hyun,
Releasing a phase does not lock the Phase number field. Did you try changing it?
The task numbers will be unique even if the phases are copied, so replication won't be an issue in there I feel.
Sorry I dont have definitive answers but do let me know if you are able to find a solution.

Sorry you cannot delete a phase or a task after releassing it. All you can do is set the status as 'Cancelled'.

Thank you for your answer. This project is nightmare. The reason why I want to delete the phase and task is for cProject replication error (error code cj20: WBS element XXXXX already exists). When PM created the phase with this issue, he copied the predecessor phase but the phase number was copied too, consequently generating the same phase number twice in the project creating this replication problem. Inquiry and quote were already generated and processed, also PO is on processing and a lot of time were already entered by many vendors against the predecessor task (more than 20 vendors are involved in this project).
I set the phase with the problem 'cancelled' but still the replication problem is persistent...
Could you give me another advice?
thank you so much in advance.
