Unable to open RFC connection - Err message

I all

I am trying to install SAP ERP 2004 SR1 on Microsoft Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000. I have successfully installed the Central Instance but when I try to install the Database instance after the database loading the following error is given:

FRF00007 - Unable to open RFC connection.

I have also tried to start the sap system. The message_server and igswd processed run ok, but the disp+work process is stopped.

I am also sending you the developer trace for this process.

Hi,

1) Try making changes in SERVICES file, you need to restart your SAP system.**

2) Set IDES Server (sid) and ip address in SAPXPG_DBDEST_PSWDF025 object**

3) Otherwise there mite b problem with the Kernel version u r Using Currently..so**

stop SAP ( not the instll gui ) update the kernel with the latest version From marketplace www.service.sap.com/patches**

restart SAP and click on Retry button. it will make the trick**

once this is done go to the control panel -> services and stop the saposcol**

of the old kernel, just copy the new kernel in that directory.

From this error it looks like that Kernel "swchunk" size is too small. Because we faced similar problem in past and this was the root cause then we increased this size and reboot the system. Then system restarted successfully. Please check this.
