Hi All,
I have the following technical challenges in our MDM Portal Business Package implementation. I appreciate any suggestions or sample code.
Environment: MDM 7.1 and Portal Business package on NetWeaver Portal 7.0 SP 14
Question 1: How to add default search criteria to Search iViews in
MDM Portal Business Package.
Example: We are exposing our MDM-Portal to Supplier. When Supplier
login, limit the Result Set to Products he supplies. Supplier can
enter any search criteria but we have to add his ID (which he uses to
login) as an additional criteria.
Question 2 : How do I limit Result Set iView not to display any
records until Search Criteria is submitted.
Question 3: Filtering Qualifiers.
In MDM Data Manager when we select Filter Check Box on Qualifier
links, it filters qualifiers to Search Criteria. How do I achieve
this in Standard Item Details iView.

Question 1: How to add default search criteria to Search iViews in

Ans. You can make use of Named Searches. Open the Data Manager Create a entry in the Named Search table, select the desired Supplier as a search criteria and save the search in the Named Search created and assign this Named Search to the user in MDM Console. Now use this user while performing User Mapping step. This will limit the Records to the search criteria of the named search and whenever you create new records satisfying the search criteria, it will get added to named search automatically.
For 2 and 3
I tried this in MDM 5.5 SP02, but no luck
