Automatic batch determination during goods issue

Hi,

We want automatic batch determination during issuance of components to a process order with out clicking on batch determination tab in COIK as well as I don't want to give '' in MB 1A transaction. Without clicking anything batch is determining is process order for components. But it is not happening during goods issue either in transaction COIK or in MB1A. If I use COIK again i have to click on batch determination tab and putting '' in MB1A. Then only batch determining. How to avoid this. Batch should determine automatically in inventory posting also like COIK, MB1A etc.

Hi

You wanted batch determination during goods issue to order. This is not possible because in any business processes a batch is generated after production or during production.

Hence if want a batch to be appreared for raw materials, initiate batch management at procurement level and those batches can be allocated during good Issue.

If we see how batch is determined during production creation and same should be appicable during issue also. Only difference is Batch determination should happen during issue instead of process order creation. Batch is determining during process order creation. But why it is not happening in goods issue. why we have to give manually or clicking on batch determination tab.

In my understanding Automatic Batch determination Functionality for the components is only possible while creating Process/Production orders (During order release) and no such provision is available for GI in MB1A or COIK and Batches need to assign manually.

Whatever the information available in Threads will be applicable to the Batch determination during order creation only.
