DB02 segment history vs. DB02OLD segment history

Hey all.

We finished our BW3.5 to BW7 upgrade this past weekend and have exercised numerous functions, some not regularly used. While I'm not too keen on the look and feel of 'new' DB02 vs. 'old' DB02, it is what it is. The challenge I'm facing now is segment history. It appears that new DB02 started history at the upgrade, yet DB02OLD can see segments from before and after the upgrade. It would have been nice if this was a seamless transition, but no matter.

Q1) Is the fact that I'm seeing 2 different history versions normal?

Q2) Is there an 'old' collector that we should disable to prevent extra work for the legacy structures?

Thanks!

Jim

Hi!

Yes but we shouldn't. The new statistic in new DB02 or dbacockpit doesn't use the old statistic and in same cases you'll lose the old on DB02. Anyway....if you use frequently the old db02 or db02old you'll update the statistics.

cheers
