Put the field cost center as mandatory value in HR infotype 001 - T588M

Hello,

I would like to put the field "cost center" as a mandatory entry in the infotype 001 "organizational assignment".

When I am trying to change the infotype screen layout control for the relevant entries of table T588M, nothing changes in the screen layout of one existing HR master data.

Updating the table T588M is that the correct way, or something else need to be done ?

What are the tables to update in order to have the cost center field available in the HR master data in creation / change mode?

Hi,

Have you done the changes in correct screen number of T588M?Check with infotype 1 screen number and table T588M.Check the feature and variable key again.

Remove PLOGI ORGA in table T77S0.

Check for relationship A011between Cost Center and Position in OM considering that you maintain cost center to position.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

Please find below the way I solved my initial issue:

I inactive the entry PLOGI-ORGA in view V_T77S0 in order to manage the cost center assignment directly on the HR master data level and not anymore at the organization structure level.

Then I customized the table T588M in order to put this field as a mandatory entry.

Hi,

Do you need to maintain cost center manually in IT0001? If not, then you can assign cost center to position or org unit (relationshipr A011) in OM and while assigning position or org unit to employee, automatically cost center will be inherited in IT0001.
