Extraction CO-PA to BI 7.0: automatically created InfoObjects

Hi all,

I want to load data from CO-PA into BW. Therefore I've created a Datasource (Transaction KEB0) and replicated into BW. For the Extraction from CO-PA to BW I found a document "How To CO-PA Extraction", saying that InfoObjects are automatically created for value fields and user-defined characteristics if the Datasource is mapped to an Infosource.

Since my requirement is to load detailled data from CO-PA into an DSO I have no Infosource. Are the InfoObjects still automatically created in BI 7.0 even if there is no Infosource and how these objects will be created? Do I have to change any settings (e.g. for the Datasource) if I want to load the data to an DSO instead of an InfoCube?

Fabian,

I think the automatic creation works only for a 3.x flow - you would have to do the 3.x flow - get the infoobjects automatically created and then migrate this to a BI7 data flow...

Hi,

When you create a COPA datsource in r/3, you will select the desired fields. On the BI side SAP has given predefined COPA DSO and Cubes in the business content. So you need to search for the appropriate data target in which all your datasource fields are present.

Some of the COPA cubes available on the BI side are

0COPA_C01 CO-PA: Published Key Figures

0COPA_C02 CO-PA: CRM Marketing

0COPA_C03 CO-PA: Quickstart (S_GO)

0COPA_C04 CO-PA: Consumer Goods Industry (S_CP)

0COPA_C05 CO-PA: Route Profitability (S_AL)

0COPA_C10 Profit Analysis(S_GO) (replicated)

0COPA_R10 Profit Analysis(S_GO) (direct)

Available DSO is

0METLDS04 CO-PA: Line Items

you need to go into each target and check for the fields you require. When you find the right matching target for the datasource then you can do the fields mapping and load the data.
