MDM Version Control

Hi All,

MDM data manager provides an option for checkout which is used for version management.But after check in the record ,we get only one version of the record.My question here is how to get the report for old and new chnages(2 versions) .Can we see those 2 records at a time ?.

Hi Lavanya,

You can get atmost 2 chnages in data manager i.e. once you checked out record and made some changes then you can display this newly update record and the previous record as well. For this Open the Data Manager, right click in Records Pane, select Check-In/Checkout -> All Versions.

If you want to track more than one change then Change Tracking is the only option but it is recommended not to activate change tracking for all the fields.

Hi,

In MDM Data manager we can't find old & new values of changed record.

We can able to track create date & created by and change date & chaged by .

If you want to findout old&new values of changed record activate Change tracking functionality. It will provide old & new values of perticular table and field level.

Thank you , I am generating the change tracking report through sql reporting tool.
