Hi,
For dependent eligibility rules we specify age limits regular and student.
Suppose for child dependent we specify age limit regular 21 and age limit for student is 24.
My doubt is how system recognises when medical plan is enrolled for child that child is student or regular.
Now it is taking only regular.I want student age limit also to consider.
Please let me know configurations for student age limit so that it considers eligibility rules for dependents.
Thanks,
Usha
Hi Usha,
Idenfitying if the dependent is regular or student - is done by selecting the field P0106-BEN03 (Student Indicator) in IT 0021.
Age limits are defined in Table V_74HT_D with an option of maintaining values for Regular/Student.
Please Check IMG >> Personnel Mgmt >> Benefits >> Flexible Administration >> Dependents/Beneficiary Eligbility Nodes.
Good Luck !!!!

Hi Usha
Did you resolve the issue with the student indicator & different dependant age limits?
I have the same issue as i configured the reg age limit to 21 and student age limit to 24. In infotype 21 we were displaying IT0106-BEN03 as well.
But it seems is not getting picked up. on enrollment the system not showing child age over 21 and below 24, even though the student indicator is set.
Can any body give some suggession please.
One point to remember is my benefit area country is GB.
Thanks
Sri
Hi Usha,
As I know,
Infotype 0106 is created based on the Family Member and Dependent Infotype (0021) specific to benefit plans. This infotype is maintained by the system during the creation of the Family Member and Dependent infotype and is not available for access on the front end.
But I am not sure how to maintain student or regular in IT0106.

Hi all,
Iview IT0106 is available for screen 2010 and only for the US.This is why it is not taken into consideration if your Molga is other than 10.
The default behavior for countries not having this specific requirement is that the child indicator is set to false. Hence you always observe that you will not be able to process the child indicator flag for molga 08 or other.
I think in this case user exit PBEN0034 should help.
Hope this help

Hey Usha/Jain,
The table V_74HT_D is definitely holding the values for the depended ages. However for us this table is being ignored and the system it is reading the Student and Depended age from T5UB3.
I am unable to find the View table for T5UB3 to update this specific dependent age criteria on T5UB3
Do you folks have any clue on where the depended age can me maintained on this table T5UB3?? Thanks for any help on this in advance.
Regards
Jay
