Hi All,
Is there any ways to download smart forms into excell? I tried converting that to list display and then to excell, but the list display itself will not be alligned properly.
Please do let me know if any of you have aware of this requirement.
Thanks in advance.
Hey it is not possible to convert smartform output to excel.
it will create allignment problem.
there are no any FM for this prob.
However it is possible using OLE which is too much complex.
so Try to convince your client and if they are not ready then try OLE it will work but estimation effort will get increased .
Hi you can do one more thing just try to ask client
that only data element and line item is possible in excel from smartforms.
Just download the final table which you are passing to smartform.
it will download line item and for header just hardcode that through coding.
if you need that i will give sample coding

Dear Hasan
For the line items of an orderacknowlegde I want to have the output in EXCEL, so the customer can edit some things in the line items of the excel-file. They do not mind about the layout, but only the line items must appear like on the printed smartform version. Do you have a Function module or coding for this?
Thanks in advance
Edwin

Hi,
I am sorry for confusing you people, I am aware of the manual download of smart forms to excel(even that will have allignment issues).
My requirement is to down load a smart form (which is a legal document) into excel without any allignment issue.
i have tries with otf to list display and then to html to excell but that is having allignment issue.
Please let me know is there any other way out to achieve this .
Do you want to download the OUTPUT of the smartform or the smartform layout/contents itself?.
Neither make any sense anyway as Excel is a spreadsheet for calculating with, so downloading either the output (graphically) or the smartform layout etc. simply would not make sense.
So, what exactly are you trying to achieve?.
Gary
Hi Gary,
My requirement is to download the PETTY CASH RECIEPT(smartfom ) in to excell with the same layout and contents as the user want an option to edit the same receipt and use it for further processing.
if we download the smart form to pdf user cannot edit that, we have suggested them to use Interactive adobe forms but they done want that also.
they are demanding only this excell download option.
Hi,
Welcome to SDN
To convert the smartform output to Excel manually perform the following steps.
1.View the print preview of the layout.
2.Use the menu Goto->List Display
3.Then use System->List->Save->Local file
4.Finally select the option Spreadsheet to download to Excel.

Milan
