Regarding context node unused attribute...

Hi Experts,

I have some doubts in Web UI.

1.Suppose I have 20 attributes in my context node and out of 20 I want to use only 10 attribute in my view configuration and also don't want to see unused attributes in view configuration. What is the standard procedure through which I can hide these unused attributes.

Also in some cases attributes which are available in context node do not display in view configuration. What should we check or what is the reason for this. What should we do to display all attributes available in context node in view configuration.

2.What are the primarily decision points we should follow while applying a SAP note. Suppose for some requirement SAP released some notes. Then on what basis I will take decision that this particular note is suitable for the requirement.

3.I create one opportunity after that I am creating follow-up. While creating follow-up for this opportunity I found that transaction type for which I want to create this follow-up is not available in the list. What should I check or what step I am missing because of that this transaction type is not displaying in follow-up list.

4.What should I check for transaction execution performance. Suppose I am executing one transaction in UI and it is taking so much time suppose 5 minuets. What should I do to reduce this execution time up to 2 minuets.

Regards

Gaurav

About your questions...

1. If you mean you want to hide them so they are not seen in personalization option, then just move them to the left column (Available fields). If you leave them in Displayed fields column, that means users can add them to the view even if you as administrator didn't show them in predefined view.

To display fields in the view, you have to mark them in Displayed fields column as not hidden (uncheck hidden field).

2. For notes you must see if the note provides the corrections for problems that you have. then in each note there is the information in Valid Releases section which states for which software version is this note ment. And in Support Packages section it's writen in which support package is included. so you must know what software version are you using and which support packages you already have installed. if you import note in the system, system also checks if the note is relevant for your sofware, so this is another control so you don't make the mistake.

Basicly i try to implement new support packages when they are released so i get updated corrections.

3.check in spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>Copying Control for Business Transactions>Define Copying Control for Transaction Types if you set the copy control between your transaction types

4. check this form for some posts. there are quite some post on this topis, just enter in the search the word performance or something like that and you'll get the answers

Hope you are setisfied with the answers.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for reply.

I know the personalization thing . That is not my question.

My question is comes before the fields is available in personalization .Suppose some time requirement like that we don't want to give extra fields which are not required in View, in view configuration context node itself. If field is available in View configuration context node that can be used. And another is like some fields available in context node bur if we check same context node in view configuration those fields are not available. In that case what should we do or what is the reason??

Any idea.
