Dear All

I want to give authorisation for Groups in Document Numbering series. How do i do it ?

for example : i have three department and i have created seperate series for each department and each department will have different group;

Dept1: series will be A1, A2, A3, A4 and this will be under group 1

Dept2: series will be B1,B2,B3,B4 is under group 2

Dept3: series will be C1,C2,C3,C4 is under group 3

now i want to give authorization for this group i.e. whenever a person belonging to one dept logs in to the b1, system should show the series pertaining to group 1 only.

i tried by giving authorization for the group , but it is not accepting.

do let me know if any options are avialable.

Regards

Kashinath

Dear Kashinath,

Create goups as you wish and to exch numbering series in the docment type assign a group to it.

In authorization setup, while you assign authorization to that user code , you go to

--adminsitration -- system innitialization -- and authorize the user according to the group.

Hai!

Log in SAP B1 as a super user.

Go to Administrator > Sys init > Autho > General Autho

Select a User their

Go to Admin > Sys init > Series > Series - Group 1 > Full Autho

Go to Admin > Sys init > Series > Series - Group 2 >No Autho

like that..

May be your problem is not the authorization but the default series assignment.

In the Document Numbering setup / Series- xxx u2013 setup you should click Set as Default and assign for every user the appropriate series for every document.

Assign a Default series to the manager/super user.
