Conversion Unit Factor

Hi Friends,

I had a requriment where my client procures sheets in unit tones and sales in pieces my inventory report unit is in tone.

.. How to handle this for ex: I want to maintain my sales unit as Pieces (PC) when i am maintaining the conversion factor as

1pc=3.663TO i,e my conversion factor wiil be

10000000PC=3663TO

But the system is allowing up to 100000 how to increase the length ............

........please help me out

You gave to mainatin the conversion faction in CUNI in the feild Numerator & Denominator

For this type of issue need to craete anew UOM

You can create a unit like KPC stands for 1000 pieces

Execute t-code CUNI

Create here a new UOM as KPC with measurement unit text 1000 pieces

i.e. 1 kpc = 1000 pc

Thanx a ton for your answer i had tried creating a new UOM as KPC putting 1000 pcs in measurement unit text but it is not working.

Hi,

Fist you have to create UOM in CUNI and thir you mave to maintain the 10000 as say ZKG and then in material master you have to select ZKG 10000 = 1ton that implies 1 ton = 10000KG

Once you have created KPC, maintain the conversion as

1000 kpc= xxxx TON

This will be similar to 10000000 pc = xxxxTON

But you have to assume that KPC indicates 1000 PC and should maintain the prices appropriately
