Automatic Usage Decision

Dear all,

There is this checkbox control in the inspection type setup in the material master, called u201CAutomatic UDu201D.

It said:

If you set this indicator, the system can automatically make usage decisions for inspection lots.

The inspection lots must meet the following conditions:

u2022 All characteristics have been completed

u2022 None of the characteristics have been rejected

u2022 No defects have been recorded, or No quality notifications created

u2022 The waiting time set in Customizing must have elapsed.

Yet when I test a scenario in which the inspection characteristic has been valuated as accepted and close (i.e. no rejected), and no defect is recorded.

However, the valuation Code field shown u201CNot Valuatedu201D, and the UD code field is blank in this inspection lot overview (i.e. QA03).

Shouldnu2019t the usage decision should take place automatically on this since I have fulfill the requirement on the setup? Did I miss out anything?

Hi

1.What is setting at plant level you have done for Skip lot?

2.Status of all char must be 5

3.Have you done scheduling through QA10

or QA16.

4.Schedule must run in background.

just making char skips & tick on "Skip" in QM view will not take auto UD

You need to run T-Code QA16/QA17, although you have set the indicator "Automatic Usage Decision".

If you schedule a job, all inspection lots for which this indicator is set automatically UD would be done. This is the importance of this indicator.
