LSMW for equipment change

Dear PM Experts,

When we tried to change the asset number through LSMW , we found system displaying the following error .

' Leave to transaction ' Asset no is not allowed in batch input '

The specified system functionality cannot be used in batch input mode

Change your application so that it can be used for batch input '

Can we not able to use LSMW for asset change . Then how can we change this in mass as have some 2500 equipment required this change.

Hi,

If you are not facing any problem in IE02, You should be able to do this through LSMW also. I think the created LSMW is having some issue.Check this once.

Dear Bala,

You are correct , it is allowing to change when using import method as Batch import recording . But when tried with Standard Batch / Direct input it is dispaly the above error . Is it any other transaction that can be used to change the equipment -asset assignment ?

use Recording in LSMW. or you can also use BDC. But for BDC you need to take help from your abaper for developing it.
