Hi
I'm looking to understand the difference between a saved workbook and a query view in BEx. Aren't they both just snapshots of a navigational state of the query at some point in time ?
Is there a difference in the kind of format they are stored in, or dynamicity of data or some such thing ?
Thanks.
They are both a way to present the result to end-user, with similar UI (Excel)
View comes from the query. it is a kindly of way to see the result of a ( and one this) query. For example, you can navigation and put some free char. down to the row or colunmn.
Workbook can obtain multiple queries. You can put 2 different queries with the similar topic into one workbook. And you can add some sheet even not come from SAP BW. For example, you can save some legacy data in one sheet and hide (or not) it. Then you can use some formula to reference those data though they are not come from BW.
