Can messages/alerts be sent to outlook

We are using some complicated alerts for the approval of documents and some of the approvers are not traditionally in SAP. Is there a simple way to setup a query or activity to send an email message to their outlook that they have approvals pending? On SBO 2005a SP1 PL29. Thanks in advance.

All alerts are only available to active B1 users. There is no option to send alert to non-B1 user unless might be possible by Add-on or SDK.

Hi,

If situation allows - create alert to a normal SBO user, but to this user you can map the email of the outside approver.
