Cost center not required

Dear all,

I create an Expense account with field status group G004 & also create its cost element (CEItem category 1). But when I post to this GL account, system not require to fill in CO object. Do you know the reason why ?

Thank you very much,

Sylvecat.

    Hi

Please check whether cost center is marked as Required or optional in the field status group. If uou want as required then change the field cost center to Required entry.

    Thanks,

      Hi,

I also set this field is required. But this is not related to FSG. Because this is the base functionality of CO module. In IDES, this field of G004 are not checked as required, but when posting entry, system always require this field.

      Thanks,

I am having the same issue with a new G/L account. All of my other accounts with G004 require cost center but the new one does not. Did you ever find a solution?

Please check wether the cost element has been created for this G/L account.

Otherwise, And there is a controlling document or not. I think the cost object (in this case, the cost center) is required for posting. even the field status is optional.
